The Benefits of Membership

Membership in XPRL is established by joining the UK XPRL organisation, a company limited by guarantee. If you are outside the United Kingdom, and would like to join, we will be very pleased to accept your membership and, as we aim this initiative to be global seek reciprocal arrangements with XPRL jurisdiction worldwide as they are formed.

Participate in the xprl design and development process

The UK, and founding XPRL members, meets regularly at various locations and the XPRL work groups meet as needed. These committees include the managing Executive Committee, technical, publicity, membership, liaison and finance committees.

Members are constantly in contact through e-mail communications, a web-based virtual community and other events.

In addition, members are eligible for election to the Executive Committee.

Involvement in these meetings and communications significantly influence the development of XPRL and you and your company gain a time to market advantage, and acquire a significant lead in developing and implementing XPRL within your products or services.

The technical and networking value from attending meetings is significant and creates opportunities to develop advanced and powerful relationships in the public relations domain.

Access to all XPRL Taxonomies, Specifications & Documentation
Members have first and free access to all final XPRL taxonomies, specifications and documents as well as during the development process.

Free and early access to XPRL developed tools and training programs XML/XPRL tools and training are necessary to jump-start adoption of XPRL. For example, the early version of the XPRL enabled Virtual Press Office functionality is now available with the publication of the beta schema for press release distribution, media monitoring and evaluation. Members are encouraged to take advantage of these resources to expand their knowledge and work with their customers.
